The 24/7 Story
May 2014: Jimmy Hazen, a Professional Golfer (LI Open Champion at Bethpage Black, PGA Tour Event Participant, Web.com Tour, Latin America Tour, 2 Time LI Open Champion) and Rick Caputo, a founder of a successful sports academy, reconnect at a St. George’s Golf and Country Club Member Guest Event.
January 2021: In a chilly garage, the two golf buddies test Rick’s Mevo+ prototype golf simulator against Jimmy's top-of-the-line Trackman. After a solid session Jimmy and Rick decide to take the chance and open a golf Academy.
March 2021: 24/7 Golf Academy officially opens in its original 1,500 sq ft facility- helping over 1,000 students reach their golf goals.
November 2023: After the U.S Kids Golf Long Island Sound Tour Championship, Jimmy invites Frank Capurso, the father of one of his students to dinner. During that meal the idea of expanding the Academy to a larger space was brought up. The conversation inspired Frank to come on board as a partner, ultimately paving the way for the Academy’s successful expansion.
January 2024: After nearly 2 months of hard work, long hours and determination, 24/7 Golf Academy opened the doors of its all-new 4,500+ sq ft state-of-the-art facility with the mission of teaching players of all ages, help them refine their skills and develop a lifelong passion for the game of golf.
